Hello

Hello, I am Lois Han, an illustrator based in Sichuan, China.

I completed my BA in Fashion Design at Tsinghua University in 2024. During the studies, I found I was addicted to designing outfits for adorable animal characters and imagining their fun stories. It is the reason why I applied for Children's Book Illustration MA, as I thought it aligned perfectly with my interests and personality.

In my work, I like using watercolor and acrylic to illustrate delicate and intricate decorations, especially the patterns on the clothing and flowers. I believe this stems from my preference for the Art Nouveau style.

Additionally, I enjoy using ink to make casual and lively doodles. Depicting the relaxed and humorous daily lives of animals and their intimate relationships always brings me positive energy. But it doesn't mean I won't try to convey a sorrowful atmosphere in my work; I am also striving to think about how to express subtle emotions more precisely and with restraint. I hope my work will have a more diverse style, both visually and narratively.
